Gardeners' Favorites: 600 Essential Plants for Your Garden
Published in Hardcover by Metro Books (November, 2000)
Average review score:

GREAT ADDITION TO YOUR RESOURCE LIBRARYI had difficulty finding this book, but it was well worth the time and effort to locate it. You will be impressed with the coloured photography, and the amount of information presented on a very extensive variety of plants. From sun requirements, bloom time to zone hardiness, everything is here. The information is well organized, factual and easy to find, even though there are over 700 pages in total. I have found a number of plants listed here that are not found in similar books. Whether you are a beginner or experienced gardner, it still makes a great addition to your resource library.

God Is for the Alcoholic
Published in Paperback by Northfield Pub (April, 1999)
Average review score:

Keep Looking Up!The principles outlined in this book which helped Jerry Dunn to escape the hold of alcohol on his life are applicable to ANY dependence or additiction a person may have. The book reads well and holds your attention. You see, I have known Jerry personally for the past 20 years. I was fortunate enough to marry into his family and have had the pleasure of knowing that he did not merely "write" a book about what one should do, he lived it out in his own life. What a testimony! Thank you Jerry Dunn!

Great For BeginnersA wonderful book for those who want to or have just started gymnastics, this book will guide you and makes a great introduction to gymnastics. The book was written Elfi Schlegal, a former Olympian, and has many full-color photographs of famous gymnasts and young gymnasts performing basic gymnastics skills. Some things this book talks about are getting started, finding a gymnastics club, what to look for in a coach, eating healthy, conditioning and warm-up excercises, different gymnastics skills, competitive gymnastics, and much more. Many tips and quotes from famous gymnasts are also in this book, too. This book is a wonderful choice for all beginning gymnasts, and a very wise purchase.

Hard Time: Voices from a State Prison, 1849-1914
Published in Hardcover by Minnesota Historical Society (August, 2002)
Average review score:

Highly recommended contribution to Penology StudiesHard Time: Voices From A State Prison, 1849-1914 is the story of the state penitentiary at Stillwater, Minnesota -- a dangerous, sometimes lethal, stone fortress erected for the purpose of exacting punishment and penance from it's inmate population. Enhanced throughout with period photography, Hard Times is a documentary history of the facility where those men deemed incorrigible were send to do "hard time" and which, over the sixty-five years of its existed, evolved to become one of the most respected penal institutions in the nation. Hard Times offers up such memorable events as the imprisonment of the Younger gang in 1876; the prison fire of 1884; the escape of Frank P. Landers and Oscar J. Carlon in 1887; the "twine shop insurrection" of 1899; the manhunt for escaped convicts Peter Juhl and Jerrfy McCarty in 1911; and a great deal more. Very highly recommended contribution to Penology Studies; Minnesota History; and American History supplemental reading lists and academic reference collections...
